Ltd provides you with expert ultrasound advice regarding ultrasound
examinations that you may need be it a female pelvic problem or ultrasound
scans through out your pregnancy and any general abdominal scans.
Patients may book directly or via their GP for
the 30 minute consultation with an experienced Sonographer to discuss
the scanning options available to them This will provide details
on the nature of the scan and the information that will result from
each ultrasound scan. All patients will receive printed instruction
sheets about each examination, detailing the ultrasound scan that
will be undertaken.
Sonographer Profiles
Farida Turner DCR, DMU
Farida Turner is a Senior Sonographer at
Central Middlesex Hospital (the Northwest London Hospitals).
She holds the Diploma of the College of radiographers and
the Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
She trained in ultrasound at the Central Middlesex Hospital
and has over 17 years of experience in obstetric, Gynaecological
and abdominal Ultrasound. She also holds the certificates
in Nuchal and Nasal Bone scanning (Risk calculation of Down’s
Syndrome by ultrasound) from the fetal medicine foundation |

Farida has worked in different
branches of ultrasound and specializing in acute gynaecological
and early pregnancy ultrasound. This experience was gained
at St George’s and Central Middlesex hospitals in London. Transvaginal
scans for baseline diagnosis of infertility and follicle tracking
is another area that she has been continuously progressed in
during her career.
She has actively participated in emergency
Gynaecological and early pregnancy service, which works 7
days a week at the Hospital. She also worked in different
NHS institutions around London and has an established private
practice at Harley street, The Hospital of St John and St
Elizabeth Hospital and Highgate Hospital. |
Haroon Qarib BSc, MSc
Haroon is a Senior Sonographer at Central
Middlesex Hospital (The Northwest London Hospitals NHS Trust).
He holds BSc in Radiogrphy, Diploma in medical ultrasound
and MSc in medical ultrasound from the City University and
Imperial College university in London.
He carries out various ultrasound examinations such as general
abdominal, head and neck (thyroid and salivary glands), transcranial
Doppler ultrasound, Obstetrics, gynaecology and small parts
ultrasound. |

His MSc research project was on comparison of ultrasound and
MRI in diagnosis of the rotator cuff tears (shoulder Joint)
and he was supervised by Professor David Cosgrove one of
the leading ultrasound consultants in the region.
He also holds the certificate of competence in Nuchal Translucency
scanning and Nasal Bone scanning (risk calculation for downs
Syndrome) from The Fetal Medicine Foundation, Transcranial Doppler
scanning for sickle cell patients from Southampton University
Hospital.
